Where The Lake Ontario Boat Is Located!

Depending on where you’re coming in from we put 3 possible Route scenarios together for you:

1) From Utica, NY or from the East- Take a route that will bring you into Rome, NY. From there you will continue on Rt. 69 to

 

Camden NY (about 20 minuets). From there you take a Right hand turn which turns into Rt. 13. This will take you to

Pulaski NY (about 23 minuets), go through Pulaski (go stright through the big intersection with the light, NO turns!) you will continue on this same road till you reach Rt. 3.(about 8 minuets) Once you reach Rt. 3 the road will end you now take a left hand turn onto Rt. 3 South. Head down Rt. 3 for approximately 6 miles this road will turn into Rt.104B but DO NOT turn left to follow Rt. 3 stay on the now 104B road till you reach the 40 mile an hour zone which is the town of Texas (Mexico, NY). You will go over the little Salmon River Bridge, and just after, is Mexico Point Drive(there is a small green sign that says Salmon Country Marina). Take this right hand turn and go down about 500 yards and take a right hand turn into the Salmon Country Marina. You will proceed towards the big hanger like building. To the right hand side of the building you will see the river and all the boats, drive down the road along the big bulding where there is a small log cabin type shack with a small trailer attached to it on the right, you will then pass this cabin and park anywhere on the grass left or right of road just past the shack and look down tword the docks and you will see the 28 foot teal blue Baha Cruiser the "Dreams Come True" just below the shack. Unload your items and take the steps next to the building down to my boat!

2) From Interstate 81 or the South- Take Rt. 81 North till you see the pulaski exit, take the ramp and stop at the top, You take a left hand turn onto Rt. 13 go through Pulaski go through Pulaski (go stright through the big intersection with the light, NO turns!) you will continue on this same road till you reach Rt. 3.(about 8 minuets) Once you reach Rt. 3 the road will end you now take a left hand turn onto Rt. 3 South. 3) From Oswego or the west- Take Rt. 104 till you see the left hand turn for 104B. Take 104B (about 10 minuets) till you get to the 40 mile and hour zone which is the town of Texas (Mexico, NY). Take the left hand turn just before the Little Salmon River Bridge (Mexico Point Drive) and go down about 500 yards and take a right hand turn into the marina. You will proceed towards the big hanger like building. To the right hand side of the building you will see the river and all the boats, drive down the road along the big bulding where there is a small log cabin type shack with a small trailer attached to it on the right, you will then pass this cabin and park anywhere on the grass left or right of road just past the shack and look down tword the docks and you will see the 28 foot teal blue Baha Cruiser the "Dreams Come True" just below the shack. Unload your items and take the steps next to the building down to my boat!

 Salmon Country Marina, nestled on the banks of the scenic Little Salmon River, is family-owned and operated since 1975. We're the starting point for great fishing, camping and family vacationing. The famous Salmon River Fish Hatchery is a short drive away. Beautiful beaches, Selkirk Shores State Park and great boating & fishing adventures await you on Lake Ontario, just a stone's throw up the river.

We offer many services for boating enthusiasts, including: washing, waxing, bottom cleaning, small hull repair, fuel, head pump-outs & repair.

Engine Care Services


We service all varieties of Mercury & Mercruiser I/O, O/B, I/B as well as all brands of I/B engines including gasoline and diesel engines. We always do our best to get you on your way to go fishing or recreational boating. For your convenience, please schedule early during peak season.

Haul Outs & Storage


Boats up to 45ft. in length, 16ft. in beam & 20 tons in weight are easily hauled out with our travel lift. We have a 60ft. x 200ft. Morton building and two 60ft. x  100ft. buildings for boat storage. Our inside storage will accomodate boats up to 34ft. in length. Larger boats, up to 45ft. in length, are accomodated with outdoor storage. We offer complete boat winterizing service including in-house shrink-wrapping. Boats may be removed from storage beginning in April (weather-permitting).

Docking


We have docks available for 16ft. to 40ft. boats. The larger boats are on the river. Boats 23ft. and smaller are in a cut (man-made marina) with 5ft. of water at low water in the fall- more water most of the season. Boat launch is open 24 hours.

Salmon Country, you'll find our relaxed atmosphere the key to a great vacation. We have no gates or guards. Nobody will chase you or your guests around. Everyone here is friendly, helpful and downright neighborly. There is water and electric on some sites and the others are pumped out with a portable pumper tank. Our sites are wooded and larger than most campgrounds. Once you arrive, we will be glad to show you what's what and how we do things around here.
